Walk of Hope 2015

The HOPE Team - Wednesday, November 05, 2014

The Walk of Hope is here!

We are very excited to announce that our annual Walk of Hope Fundraiser is happening again and next year it will be taking place on the 28th February. The Walk of Hope event will take place across two locations, Cronulla in Sydney and Avoca Beach on the Central Coast!

What is it about?

The Walk of Hope is all about coming together and supporting quality education programs in developing nations.

Investing in children today means that we are building a better tomorrow. Nelson Mandela said "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world," and this is exactly what we are about! Our HOPE: Education programs focus on training teachers and NGO leaders in countries devastated by war, genocide and poverty.

Over the years we have learnt that equipping just one teacher has a wider impact, not only on their students, but also their family and the community.

We are so proud to share with you that since HOPE: Global began, we have been able to make a difference by impacting the lives of thousands of teachers and as a result tens of thousands of children across Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Cambodia.

The Walk of Hope has been crucial in raising funds to deliver training each year. During the 2014 Walk of Hope, you helped us raise enough funds to train over 500 teachers and NGO staff.

In 2015 we are aiming to double our impact and raise enough funds to train 1000 + teachers and NGO staff, so at $15 per teacher/participant, we are looking to raise at least $15,000.

How to get involved?

We would love to have you join with us and share in a day that is also filled with fun, music, face painting, food, drinks and ultimately HOPE.

You can get involved by donating funds or by joining us on our Walk of Hope in either Sydney (Cronulla) or the Central Coast (Avoca Beach). Alternatively, take place from wherever you are in the world, whether that be on a treadmill, in the park, or with a group from your school or work, by registering for the Global Walk of Hope.
